ReplyDeleteWe have created a list of 700 sanskrit words which are used on a regular basis in day-to-day Tamil language in both spoken and written forms. We are in the process of updating this list.
The file is available under the heading ‘Sanskrit Words in Tamil’ at the following address

The list contains the equivalent of such words in Hindi and share similar phonetics. We are in the process of updating the corresponding words in Bengali, Gujarati, Marati etc.,
The objective behind the above effort is to enable Tamil students to understand, how they are already familiar with words which are used in other languages ,as well. With a bit of extra effort, they can clearly master many other Indian languages. This would make them multi-lingual, which is a major draw back for anybody trying to pursue a career opportunity outside of Tamilnadu.
Also the site www.sanskritroots.com contains opinions on Sanskrit by learned scholars like Dr. Abdulkalam, Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma
Gandhi and others.
Since your site is attempting to identify the appropriate tamil words for sanskrit words, if you can identify the exact tamil words against each of the words in our file, we would like to update them in our next edition. That would enable viewers who are interested in using only Tamil words, to start using them in practice.
Would welcome suggestions on our effort.

I am happy to here this. But how the words are analyzed?. Kindly give the details of how and what are all the evidence for the word analysis. Since, Sanskrit invaded long before, lots of words appeared to be Tamil. Some Tamil words also invaded into Sanskrit, and how to differentiate and confirm that it is Tamil word or not.
